WESTERN ALPs

"Rough, wild and remote, the western alps are movingly beautiful. I live half of my year on the shores of the wonderful Lake Orta, a stone's throw from the beautiful Strona Valley, the Val Grande National Park and the Ossola Valleys with its wonderful wild mountains. After years away from home, this is where my energy and my photography are concentrated when I'm not up in the north.
In the Alps we can still find a wild and uncontaminated nature with a very high biodiversity. But the Alps are also closely linked to the history of man and pastoralism, which has the fundamental role of maintaining the alpine pastures, thus preventing them from being absorbed by the forest.
The aim of my work here, which has just begun, is to show a portion of the beauty of this area of the Alps. A fragile beauty to be protected at all costs".
